小孩儿笑着坐了起来，“爸，谢谢你！”小孩儿叫着。接着，小孩儿从枕头底下拿出一些被弄皱了的钞票。
这父亲看到小孩儿已经有钱了，快要再次发脾气了。这小孩儿慢慢地算着钱，接着看着他的爸爸。
“为什么你已经有钱了还需要更多？”父亲生气地说道。
“因为我之前不够，但我现在足够了，”小孩儿回答。“爸，我现在有20块钱了，我可以向你买一个小时的时间吗？明天请早一点儿回家，我想和你一起吃晚餐。”
时间的价值应该如何衡量？用金钱吗？那我能拿钱来买你的时间吗？这个小男孩儿提出了一个很有趣的问题。
所罗门的梦
一天晚上，伟大的所罗门做了一个梦，有一位先哲在梦里告诉他一句话，这句话涵盖了人类所有的智慧，让他在高兴的时候不会忘乎所以，在忧伤的时候能够自拔，始终保持勤勉，兢兢业业。

哈佛教授的著名实验
1960年，哈佛大学的罗森塔尔博士曾在加州一所学校作过一个著名的实验。
新学年开始时，罗森塔尔博士让校长把3位教师叫进办公室，对他们说：“根据你们过去的教学表现，你们是本校最优秀的老师。因此，我们特意挑选了100名全校最聪明的学生组成3个班，让你们教。这些学生的智商比其他孩子都高，希望你们能让他们取得更好的成绩。”
3位老师都高兴地表示一定尽力。校长又叮嘱他们，对待这些孩子，要像平常一样，不要让孩子或孩子的家长知道他们是被特意挑选出来的，老师们都答应了。
一年之后，这3个班的学生成绩果然排在整个学区的前列。这时，校长告诉了老师们真相：这些学生并不是刻意选出的最优秀的学生，只不过是随机抽调的最普通的学生。
老师们没想到会是这样，都认为自己的教学水平确实高。这时校长又告诉了他们另一个真相，那就是，他们也不是被特意挑选出的全校最优秀的教师，也不过是随机抽调的普通老师罢了。
这个结果正是博士所料到的：这3位教师都认为自己是最优秀的，并且学生又都是高智商的，因此对教学工作充满了信心，工作自然非常卖力，成绩肯定也是非常好的了。
在做任何事情以前，如果能够充分肯定自我，就等于已经成功了一半。
当你面对挑战时，不妨告诉自己：我就是最优秀的和最聪明的。那么，结果肯定是另一种样子。
相信我，就把手放开
有个青年；住在山顶；每次傍晚收工他都要走一段崎岖小路才能抵达家门。
一天；工厂赶工；他必须加班。收工后；已到半夜。当他在那段小路走着时；突然狂风大作；乌云密布；大地一片漆黑；四周的灯又突然熄灭。此时；他心情非常紧张；便加快步伐赶路。仓促间；突然；他脚下一滑；掉进了一个大洞。
“救命啊！”在千钧一发之时；他抓住了一根树枝而没有摔下去。
那青年往下看；看不到洞底。四周又黑漆漆的，伸手不见五指。他双手一直抓住树枝不放；担心会掉下“无底洞”。
他无数次地高喊“救命”；希望能碰到路人；把他救上来。
突然；他听到上面传来一个声音：“年轻人；你是不是在喊救命？”
“是啊；求您老救救我！”
“年轻人；你要我救你；你一定要相信我！”那人说道。
“我相信您！”
“绝对相信？”
“绝对相信！”
“那好；放开你的双手吧！”
那青年人抓紧树枝；大骂那个想害他的人！
“你想害我；鬼才相信你呢！”
他抓紧树枝拼命坚持；在他终于坚持不下去时；掉了下去。
他心想；这下完了！还没等他叫出口；脚便落在坚实的地面上。
天亮时；他看到落地的地方与那根树枝几乎触手可及。他很懊悔；“我早相信那人；不早就转危为安了？”
在很多时候； 人总是不能相信那些好心的陌生人；然而也就在此时；错过了很多让自己转折和成功的机会。
